Cailin Cronin

Originally from Indiana, Cailin Cronin began her career in aquatics fresh out of high school as a waterpark Lifeguard for Cedar Point Amusement Park and Waterpark in Sandusky, Ohio. She continued to work her way up the ranks in various waterparks, private organizations, collegiate pools, and municipalities until she landed in Texas in 2013. She has assisted with the Region 5 Aquatics Management Academy for the last few years as well as chairing the regional Lifeguard Competition for what will be her fourth year. She is currently the Aquatic Programs Supervisor for the City of New Braunfels where she oversees one of Texas’ oldest Springfed pools and the man-made waterslide carved out of the dam in the Comal River, also known as the Tube Chute.

Kolby Burkhardt

Kolby Burkhardt is currently a Loss Prevention Representative for Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool. He recently served as a progressive Safety Coordinator for the City of New Braunfels, where he developed and implemented Safety Management Systems, Training and Development Programs, and Risk Retention Strategies.

Mike Shaw

Mike Shaw has served in the Loss Prevention Department with the Risk Pool since February 2000.  He has over 25 years of professional experience working with municipalities and other public entities throughout the State of Texas.  Prior to his employment with the Risk Pool, Mike served two different cities in the DFW metroplex in various capacities including Risk Management, Parks and Recreation, Human Resources, and Finance/Budget.  Mr. Shaw holds a B.S. in Political Science from Texas A&M University and several certifications, including Certified Playground Safety Inspector, Certified Ride Inspector, and Certified Aquatics Operations Technician.
